I would like to ask those who have hired a party DJ for their own wedding or have attended one with a party DJ. Does a DJ really make things more entertaining and fun? We're trying to decide if getting one would be worth the additional expense. Thanks!

If you plan on having lots of music and dancing after the ceremony, a party DJ can really make your guests up on their feet. You may also get a band, if you like.

Yes, I have been into many parties with DJs orchestrating the music, and a DJ can really pump the energy level up!

But you need to get a really good DJ. Someone inexperienced may not be as good. A lot of different people gather in parties, and the DJ needs to ensure that his music fits your crowd. The key to great partying is great music!

It depends on the couple's preferences. They must also consider the preference of their guests.

I have attended several weddings already, and I usually prefer a sweet and romantic wedding over an upbeat lively one. Thus, I would go for a soloist, a choir or a string quartet rather than a DJ.
