baby shower questions 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago
I have offered to have a baby shower for my neighbor. Should I make the shower have a theme besides the fact that it is a baby shower? Since I have not hosted one before, please share with me any great baby shower experiences that you have encountered.

There was this baby shower I attended that required all guests to be in maternity outfits and to look pregnant! It was so fun since it was like everyone's baby shower!

Just to add a bit more fun to the party, you could think of a theme that would fit the occasion. A baby shower can be considered a theme if it's not a baby shower you're throwing (just like with a birthday party or a wedding). Just my 2 pennies worth.

To keep it simple, consider a colour theme such as a lavander-themed baby shower. With this, everyone is encouraged to wear lavender and bring lavender gifts. You can also decorate the party venue with lavender flowers.

If the mother happens to know the gender of the baby, you can decorate and select games that are boy or girl related. Traditionally pink decorations for girls and blue for boys. This also will help guests to purchase gifts that are more appropriate.
