The Exotic Teapot

I'm British, but I was able to visit the Philippines last March. My brother has been working there as a researcher, and he invited me to visit the country. I was so amazed with how elaborate their traditional weddings can be. Back there, the groom's side usually pays for most of the expenses. The bride's family may even expect a wedding dowry, but I think this is not very common now. The groom's family usually covers all the spending, as Filipinos have this strong belief that they would never spend just to give their daughter away.
