I have to say that you are a very thoughtful mother-in-law, Karen. Very different from the monsters-in-law depicted on TV and movies. I think your daughter-in-law will love a hand blown glass jewelry box, where she can put her collection in. You could also get her a vase or a lamp, if she's not into jewelry.

A hand blown glassware set or bowl set will be a lovely gift. Several blown glasses have impressive hand painted designs which make them all the more beautiful. I'm sure your daughter-in-law, as well as your son, will appreciate it.

Consider one of the handblown clear teapots sold by exotic teapot. These are not only beautifully designed but functional as well. You could get some of the flowering teas to go with it.
