I noticed that someone requested wedding gift ideas for a UK couple. I am in a similar dilemma. I have two Chinese friends that will be getting married in September thus need some special wedding gift suggestions for the two couples.

I've heard cash sealed in an Ang Pao or Hong Bao (red Chinese envelope) is common with the Chinese.

You don't really need to give them a Chinese gift. Just give them anything you think they will appreciate, whether or not it's related to their nationality.
Just remember some basic Chinese gift giving customs. A friend shared with me the following:
Don't give in sets of 4. If you can afford it, give in sets of 8.
Don't give something white or black. Give something red for good luck.
If you give cash, put it inside red envelopes and don't give amounts with 4 in it.

Since more tea is consumed in China than anywhere, I am sure they truly enjoy artisan tea. I would consider the Prestige Glass Teapot, with assorted teas from this site.
