Finger Sandwiches for Formal Tea Party 4 Months, 3 Weeks ago
After reading about the formal British Tea Party on the forum, I have decided to have one with my neighbors. What type of finger sandwiches should I provide with oolong and green teas? I have to admit all that I have ever been served are biscuits.

Two tea time sandwiches that my guests have enjoyed are: cucumber mint with cream cheese and goat cheese & watercress. The latter is best made with fruit bread such as cinnamon raisin.

I would make a smoked salmon sandwich with white bread. Combine chopped salmon and cilantro, fresh lemon juice, and softened cream cheese.

Depends on who will be eating!

I served chicken salad sandwich and thin toast topped with baked shrimps during a tea party, and I ended up with 2 of my guests, who have allergies, not eating! Good thing there were a few bacon strips left in my fridge. I had to prepare a new set of sandwiches for them.
