rice recipes 3 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I attended this chic party where they served rice with tomato sauce and shrimps. It tasted so good. I want to try preparing similar dishes, too. Can someone help me with unique rice recipes?

The best fried rice, I believe, is from the Chinese. And why not? They have been having Yang Chow since the Sui Dynasty and that was around 600 AD (if my history teacher was right. )!

Yang Chow has roast pork, scallions, prawns, eggs and peas mixed with cooked rice. I have tasted fried rice prepared in several ways, and this is my favourite.

Carol this could have been a Jambalaya recipe, one of my favorite foods. This is a Cajun tomato rice dish that always includes shrimp but may also have ham and or chicken. Usually green peppers, bay leaves and a hot and spicy seasoning are added. There are many versions of this dish. Emeril Lagasse, a famous American chef, specializes in Cajun cooking. There are plenty of his recipes on line or in print.

Rice with tomato sauce and shrimps? Are there mussels, crab or lobster meat, too? You must have tasted the pride of Spain - the paella. A lot of versions have been tossed, but if you want authentic paella, always go for the Spanish recipe. It's truly mouth-watering.
