Every time I have a party, my biggest problem is always on the cleaning aspect. How do you clean up during a party? I get so busy that I can't think of keeping the place tidy anymore. Do you, guys, usually hire help?

Yes, I get help, but just from my teenage neighbour. You don't need a professional butler to help clean up some dishes. But it's best to have someone around to keep things tidy.

Bob, I have trained myself to scan the room where my guests are before walking to the kitchen to retrieve something. As I proceed, I pick up any empty glasses or plates. I then neatly stack them on a kitchen counter I have already designated for dirty dishes. It makes it easier to clean up after all have gone home. You do have train yourself!

This has been so my biggest problem before, too, Bob! But now, I have discovered a great strategy - I actually rent dishes, glasses and utensils for my party. That way, no one has to wash dirty dishes after the party. The rental company takes care of it.
