I just painted my dining room blue and am searching for an excuse to have a dinner party to show it off. I thought of playing blues music however cannot come up with a blue related menu, games or ideas to give to my guests on blue attire dress codes. Hints would certainly be welcome.

Can I be a guest? It sounds like a fabulous theme. For dress code, ask everyone to come as anything related to blue. Examples: the Blues Brothers Band, the Smurf cartoon characters, the Blue Man group performers, any Blues singer or recording artist, Sesame Street’s cookie monster and do not forget sports team that have “blue” as their color.

I would use it is as an excuse to buy some blue dishes. This way you could select the menu that you are familiar with. Let your blue dishes be the decoration.
