Need dinner party theme based on fictional story 1 Month, 2 Weeks ago
It is my turn to host a dinner party for a creative writing club which I am a member of. I would very much like to select one novel to base the entire evening on. I am having a problem selecting just one story that I can plan a menu with, games, costumes and decoration. No one has chosen this theme before thus I want to make sure it is successful. Can you help me with my dilemma?

There are so many. Because it is nearing Christmas how about Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol” or if that is not appropriate, consider Robert Louis Stevenson’s “Treasure Island”? There are foods mentioned, ample details for trivia games plus great opportunities for costumes and decorations.

If I were in your situation, I would choose the novel 'Around the World in 80 Days' by Jules Verne.

Following this theme, there are so many ways to decorate the venue and present the menu. It's also like bringing your guests to the different places mentioned in the novel. How wonderful!
