What defines artisan tea? Even though I have heard this term many times, I am unsure what authentic artisan tea is.

To me, artisan tea is a unique blend of tea(s) mixed with other herbs, plants or flowers. The selection of these items, quantity of each, overall taste and sometimes appearance, such as the flowering tea, are what make it a work of art.

I associate Artisan Tea with small tea farmers that cultivate the tea by hand, using only organic treatment for the plant growth. They then apply their own unique processing of the tea, which often has been passed down from generation to generation.
