chinese tea accesories 3 Months, 1 Week ago

My sweet daughter-in-law to be is Chinese. She drinks as much tea, if not more, than I do. I would like to purchase some Chinese related tea accessories for their engagement party. Does anyone have some special tea accessory gift ideas that would best fit into this category?

The gaiwan is the first thing that came to my mind when I read your post. While we use teapots here in UK, they use gaiwan in China (although they use teapots now, too). Why don't you get her a beautiful porcelain gaiwan?

If she drinks a lot of tea, there are many types of infusers for single cups that she may enjoy. I noticed that exotic teapot has added some new ones to their inventory. Also, I am sure she would appreciate a gift basket of flowering teas, especially if these are hand tied by Chinese artisans.

What about the Red Wax Candle Lanterns now sold online by the exotic teapot? Red in China is associated with loyalty, courage and honor. Also, the colour red is used at weddings for wrapping of gifts and the bride’s dress is usually red.
