Will adding milk and sugar to tea lessen its nutritional value? I sometimes add milk to my tea.

I think it will only add calories to tea, but will not really affect its health value. Milk is a healthy drink on its own, anyway.

It might also cool the tea a little bit.

I've read about this before. There's something in milk that blocks the tea's health effects, particularly in the cardiovascular system. I think the milk's casein proteins counteract the antioxidant power of tea. I'm not a doctor, so I'm not really sure about this stuff. Lately, however, I just try to skip milk on my tea when I can.
