I have seen chips on the spout of two of my teapots. Of course, I won't be able to use them anymore. Has anyone experienced this? How can the spout be protected from chips and cracks?
I have seen spout protectors around (you just slip it in), but its usual sizes do not fit any of my teapots (which are not conventional teapots, by the way). So, I just try to be very, very careful with handling my teapots.
I used to have a rubber spout protector. Well, it protects the spout alright, but the available colors (plus it's rubber) usually do not blend well with the elegance of most teapots I have.
I have recently bought a plastic, colourless spout protector. It looks much better, but I hope there's something I can use that does not, in any way, interfere with the look of my teapots.
