Black Cherry Tea Questions 5 Months, 1 Week ago
My husband was told to drink black cherry tea for good health.
1. Why is it supposed to be good for you?
2. And, does anyone know how to make it so that it will not taste as bitter as black cherry juice?

My uncle has a condition called gout and he swears that cherries in any form, such as juice, tea, cherry ice cream or fresh fruit does him wonders to relieve the excruciating pain caused from his condition.

I have made black cherry tea several times from a recipe I found in a magazine I subscribe to. Attached is the link to the recipe. It is really delicious, not bitter and has green tea, fresh cherries plus star anise.

Black cherries are known as an ancient remedy for pain relief including gout, arthritis and headaches. I read that some studies have shown black cherries, in any form, are excellent antioxidants because it contains “queritrin” which is a neutralizer to cancer causing agents.
