I know of the ancient Yixing teapots but what about contemporary oriental teapots? With so many new styles of teapots on the market today, how does one associate a teapot as being contemporary for this region? Is it because it is made in the Orient or a certain style is emulated?

I associate contemporary teapots as those that correlate to recent tea offerings, such as the flowering tea. And, because Chinese artisans have created the contemporary teas, teapots have been specifically designed to compliment this region’s inventions.
