I am awestruck at the taste and unfurling of flowering tea. How do these artisans determine which ingredients to sew and what is it they use to sew the leaves together?
I think each variety is a product of a long process (trials, improvements, etc) to come up with not only the most flavourful tea, but also the most attractive.
I believe the tea to be green tea buds and the flowers and fruit vary. I also noticed that exotic teapot states the blooming tea is hand sewn with Globe Amaranth which is also a flower.
