Jun ware celadon is considered one of the five famous court wares of the Song Dynasty (960 - 1127). This stunning japanese style side handled teapot is hand fired using the same imperial techniques. The thick Blue glaze displays other unique colour tints, achieved by carefully adjusting and controlling the temperature of the kiln (Yaobian process). The result is a beautiful, highly robust celadon teapot that is sure to grace any dining room table.
Our Blue Jun Side handled teapot has a maximum capacity of 700ml. It's perfectly sized to serve 2-3 large cups or several small cups in gong fu style. It also includes a removable stainless steel tea infuser to brew all varieties of loose leaf tea.
What is Jun Ware?
The Jun kilns originated in Yuzhou, Henan Province. They were particularly renowned for their complex glazes and use of iron and copper colorants to create their distinctive colour splashes.
